Emergency Electrician
Dead circuits, a board that won't hold in, or something that smells hot.
Leeds & West Yorkshire
Domestic and commercial electricians working right across the Leeds district. Emergency faults, fuse board changes, EV charge points, feature lighting, rewires and testing — for houses, rentals, bars, workshops and units alike.
What we do
A single socket through to a full commercial fit-out. Ring 0113 490 0764 and describe it however makes sense to you — we'll work out what it needs.
Most requested
Four jobs we're booked for more than anything else in Leeds.
Dead circuits, a board that won't hold in, or something that smells hot.
Units, bars and workshops — wired around your opening hours.
Surveyed, run on its own circuit, sited where the lead reaches.
Strip, plinth and handrail lighting that hides the fitting.
Recent projects
Photographed on site as we finished up. Houses, garden rooms, bars and working units.

"From booking the appointment to receiving the invoice, the communication was spot on. I received a text when the engineer was 15 minutes away. Very modern, professional company!!"
"only needed a couple of extra double sockets added to my living room and an outdoor waterproof socket installed. They treated the job with just as much professionalism as a major project. Very polite and efficient 💪⭐"

Why us
An electrician answers the phone, tells you what it'll cost, and turns up when they said they would.
Leeds
Back-to-back terraces with wiring added in layers since the sixties, city-centre flats with shared risers, and new-build estates where everything is buried in the plasterboard. Each one behaves differently and we've worked on all of them.
Upfront
You get the price before a tool leaves the van. If something unexpected turns up once a cover is off, work stops and we discuss it — you're never handed an invoice for something you didn't agree to.
Both
We're as comfortable on a bar fit-out or a workshop lighting job as we are adding sockets in a back bedroom. Commercial work gets phased around your trading hours rather than ours.
Tested
Circuits get tested before and after, boards get labelled properly, and you get told what we found — including anything we spotted that wasn't part of the job.
Finish
Especially with strip and plinth lighting. Drivers go somewhere you can actually reach them, and the light gets seen rather than the kit producing it.
Small
One socket, one fan, one flickering light. Plenty of firms won't turn out for half an hour's work. We will, and the bill reflects the half hour.
Around Leeds
Four things that bring most of our Leeds enquiries in.
Most of what we do is within half an hour of the city centre — Victorian terraces in the LS6 and LS8 postcodes, sixties and seventies semis out towards Alwoodley and Cross Gates, and a steady run of extensions and loft conversions that need the existing installation bringing up to scratch before anything new gets added. Domestic, rented and commercial all covered by the same team.
No power at all, an RCD that drops the second you push it back up, a burnt smell around the board or a socket that's discoloured. Describe it on the phone and we'll tell you what to switch off straight away, then give you a real arrival time rather than a vague four-hour slot. City-centre flats and terraced streets with awkward parking included.
Bar and restaurant fit-outs, workshop and industrial unit lighting, washroom and back-of-house wiring, outdoor seating with heating and festoon runs, plus emergency lighting and periodic testing to keep the paperwork straight. We'll phase the work around trading hours so the noisy part happens when you're shut.
We check what the incoming supply will carry, run a dedicated circuit from the board and put the unit where the lead genuinely reaches the car rather than where the cable run is easiest. Terraced streets without off-road parking are a different conversation and we'll be straight with you about what's practical.
FAQs
Yes. Total loss of power, a board that trips the moment you reset it, a scorched socket or the smell of hot plastic all count as urgent and get pulled to the front of the day. Ring 0113 490 0764, tell us what's happened, and we'll talk you through what to isolate while we're on the way.
A good chunk of our week is commercial — bar and restaurant fit-outs, workshop and unit lighting, washroom and back-of-house wiring, patio heaters and canopy lighting for outdoor seating. We'll work around opening hours where we can so the disruption lands when you're closed rather than mid-service.
Leeds itself and out across the district — Headingley, Chapel Allerton, Roundhay, Meanwood, Alwoodley, Moortown, Horsforth, Guiseley, Yeadon, Rawdon, Otley, Pudsey, Farsley, Bramley, Armley, Kirkstall, Beeston, Morley, Rothwell, Garforth, Cross Gates, Kippax, Wetherby and Boston Spa. Ring and ask if you're on the edge of that.
Small, clearly defined work we can price over the phone once you've described it. Rewires, board changes, lighting schemes and anything commercial we come and look at first, because a number given blind helps nobody. Either way you know the figure before we start and it only moves if something unexpected appears and you agree to it.
Regularly — under-cupboard and plinth runs in kitchens, handrail and stair lighting, shelf and cove detailing. The trick is getting the driver somewhere serviceable and the strip far enough back that you see the light and not the individual diodes. We'll talk through colour temperature and dimming before anything gets cut.
Yes. That means a properly rated supply out to the building, its own small consumer unit inside, and sockets and lighting laid out for how you'll actually use the space. Armoured cable gets buried at the right depth rather than clipped along a fence, and the whole lot gets tested and labelled before it's signed off.
We test the existing wiring first, because a new board on top of faulty circuits just hides the problem. Then circuits come across one at a time onto individual RCBOs, with surge protection where it's worth fitting. You lose power in stages rather than all day, and every way gets labelled before the cover goes back on.
Landlords in England need a satisfactory Electrical Installation Condition Report for each rented property, renewed at least every five years. Commercial premises are covered by a duty to maintain the installation in a safe condition, and most insurers and licensing conditions expect periodic inspection as evidence of that. We inspect, explain the codes in plain English, and quote remedials separately.
Yes, and we'd rather you rang about one dead socket than lived with it. A light fitting swap, an outside socket, a bathroom fan that's stopped, a security light that won't trigger — all normal call-outs, and we won't pad them out to make the trip worth our while.
Ring 0113 490 0764 and you'll get an electrician rather than an answering service. If writing it down suits you better, the quote bar at the top of this page and the enquiry form further down both land straight in our inbox and we'll come back to confirm a time.
